Clinical Signs: Colt was found acutely down in stall and trembling. When assisted to stand, it was ataxic and weak. Vet came to examine and noted a temp of 101.5, BAR colt. The following day, the colt was progressively worse. It was down again in stall, unable to rise and inappetant. Muscle fasiculations were noted, cool/flaccid distal limbs and a temp of 98.9. The colt had a nystagmus, no tongue tone and decreased tail tone and urine dribbling. It was not able to stand.
