Clinical Signs: This filly developed Strangles ( multiple draining abscesses, persistent fever, weight loss) and died after another horse on the property returned from a 90-day training session at a large training facility which recently had Strangles (see Alert ID 4920). 5 of the 6 horses on this private farm developed Strangles. One senior pony is receiving supportive treatment by the attending veterinarian.
